Being snowbound for the winter the Hotel is truly "Ski-In and Ski-Out" only metres from the nearest ski lift for a day of fall-line resort skiing or venturing into the back country.
In summer guests can walk in the glades above the hotel or access the main range via Guthega Dam and the "Illawong" suspension bridge which crosses the Snowy River 2 km upstream of the hotel with trails to Mt Twynam, Blue Lake and beyond.
Mountain bikes and trout fishing tackle are available on site.
